A crime scene is a term as it's name mention, a place where any type of the crime is done is called crime scene.
When the Police department got information about the crime & place, they reach the place, search and seal the place for further investigation. For this purpose they usually use a yellow tape which indicates that this place is under observation. On the tape it is written on capital letters, "CRIME SCENE DO NOT CROSS".
Attachment of the tape must be according to the instructions & according to the crime scene place. It'll be different on all places. i.e..
A murder is committed in an apartment
or
A murder is committed in the wood will be different.
